Terms & Conditions of Hire

By confirming a booking with 22HZ Sound Hire, you (the “Hirer”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully, as they form a legally binding agreement between you and 22HZ Sound Hire.

1. Hirer Information

Prior to any hire, the Hirer must provide:

• Full legal name
• Valid photo ID (e.g., passport or driver’s licence)
• Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (e.g., utility bill or bank statement)

Failure to provide valid ID and proof of address may result in cancellation of the hire without refund.

2. Equipment Details

A detailed hire agreement will be provided listing:

• Each item of equipment being hired
• The replacement value of each item

The Hirer agrees to inspect all equipment on receipt and report any issues within 1 hour of delivery or collection.

3. Damage, Loss, or Theft

The Hirer is fully responsible for the safety and condition of all hired equipment from the time of delivery or collection until it is returned to 22HZ Sound Hire.

If any item is:

• Damaged
• Lost
• Stolen The Hirer agrees to pay the full cost of repair or replacement (as stated in the hire agreement), including any associated costs such as delivery, recovery, or downtime.

4. Non-Payment

All invoices must be paid by the due date specified. If payment is not received:

• A late fee of £20 may be applied
• Continued non-payment will result in legal recovery proceedings

If equipment is lost, stolen, or not returned, and no payment is received for the damages, 22HZ Sound Hire reserves the right to pursue the full replacement cost plus legal and recovery expenses through court action.

5. Consent for Third-Party Enforcement

In the event of non-payment, the Hirer agrees that their information (including name, address, ID, and contact details) may be shared with certified enforcement agents (bailiffs), debt collection agencies, or legal representatives for the purposes of recovering any outstanding amounts or retrieving unreturned property.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the hire date may be refunded minus a £[Insert Fee] admin fee.
• Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
• No refunds will be issued for unused equipment or early returns.

7. Jurisdiction

These terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By hiring from 22HZ Sound Hire, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking, making payment, or accepting delivery/collection of equipment, the Hirer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
